PRAYER TEAM

Do you want to be a part of something bigger than just yourself! Cole’s Prayer Team consists of individuals who are compassionate and committed to making a difference in the life of a family.

C.O.L.E. (Caring Openly, Loving Eternally) Prayer Team was founded in October 2008 in loving memory of Cole Ruotsala.

 

How it Began

Cole, at the age of 3, received his angel wings on September 19, 2008, only 8 weeks after going to the emergency room with stomach pains. These stomach pains turned into a diagnosis of Adreno Corticol Carcinoma, a rare form of cancer affecting only .2 % of all children diagnosed with cancer.

During his 8 week fight in the hospital, Cole's Caring Bridge website received over 500,000 hits. People from all over the world offered the Ruotsala’s words of encouragement, prayer, poems, and songs- all of which had an enormous impact on helping them get through their many rough days, filling in the gaps for them in moments of weakness. At this time, a 24 hour prayer chain had been started, and the team began storming the heavens with prayers.

Seeing how much it helped this family, the prayer team wanted to continue with their journey and expand it to other children/families suffering and in need of prayer.

Hug a little tighter, love a little longer, and don't forget to "Be There" because tomorrow you nor they may not "Be Here."  

This is the legacy of Cole.

When life was at its bottom, we had no place else to turn, no other place to direct our focus, but up.  Life changed so fast.  Everything was suddenly stopped.  All the hustle and bustle of this world stopped in an instant. We realized how little we are tied to this life and how much our focus needs to be to things that matter.  Things that have the ability to change our eternal resting place.  We find comfort in knowing that our precious boy is "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."  Without that knowledge, without that hope, this life would be so dark and gray.  All we can do is praise God for who He is and what He has done in our lives.  Thanks for all of the thousands of people who prayed diligently and wrote such encouraging messages.  May those blessings be shown through this Prayer Team for others to enjoy.

WOW! That's all we can say WOW!!! Thank you so much to COLE's foundation for making Brayden your featured child over the weekend. We showed Brayden his picture on COLE's website and he was thrilled!! Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers and emails. We share them all with Brayden. Thank You!

Q	If I sign up on the prayer team what involvement am I obligated to?
A	Your involvement with the prayer team is completely up to you to the amount of time you want to spend.  Our programs are all optional! You choose what you would like to do!
Q	Is there a cost associated to being a member?
A	There is no membership fee’s, however, we do hope that Cole’s Foundation is something your family will consider supporting as a personal mission.
Q	If I want to get more involved is there that opportunity?
A	Cole’s Foundation does look for active volunteers to be representatives of the organization throughout the nation.  Please fill out the contact us form in the upper right if you are interested!
Q	If I don’t agree with the Mission, Vision, Core Values, or Faith Statement. Can I still be on the prayer team?
A	We ask that you review our faith statement and if you feel you do not agree or cannot be a part of this organization because of that we respect your wishes.  We do ask our members to acknowledge and agree to the Mission, Vision, and Core Values in order to become a team member!
